Back to School Haul

I realize that most of us have started school already, but I wanted to show you all a few things I picked up shopping over the last couple of weeks.

My first stop was to Sephora and Victoria’s Secret to get some cute undies and new makeup. I had a $25 gift card which I used to buy Smashbox’s Best Sellers Try It Kit and Sephora’s To Go Express Cleansing Wipes. I actually went on my birthday and got a cute Benefit free birthday Turn-Ons set with mascara and highlighter, and then ended up using my Beauty Insider points to get a free sample of Kat Von D Tattoo eyeliner. Gotta love a great deal!DSC_0188

Next I was off to Bath and Body Works to grab some delicious smelling body wash I was running out of (as you can see, I’m still in denial of summer really ending- but I love fruity, tropical scents any time of the year 😉 ) They were having some great back-to-school sales, I believe it was the Signature Collection mix & match buy 3 get 3 free, which I went in on with my sister and she got a few body washes and lotions. Malibu Heat is one of my favourite scents, especially living right by the beach in California, it’s very familiar and is perfect for me and my love of pineapples. It was my first time trying out the  body scrub + wash which I actually really enjoyed because it wasn’t as rough as some exfoliants I’ve used and becomes very smooth after rubbing it in. The Coconut Lime Breeze body wash is another one of my favorites because of how milky and creamy it is, and also leaves my skin feeling baby butt soft.DSC_0194

Forever 21 had a huge 50% off all clearance sale where I scored an awesome pair of 60’s mod inspired patterned shorts (similar pair here) for only $3.99.DSC_0174

If you didn’t already know, I’m a bit of a shoe fanatic and have been searching everywhere for a great comfortable pair of flats. Which is why when I discovered this Blowfish pair at TJ Maxx I was just a little bit ecstatic. It’s hard to tell from the picture but in person they look like more of a burgundy colour and are made of soft velvet.

DSC_0196Statement necklaces have always captured my attention and added a little something extra to basic outfits. I found this piece at a thrift store called Classic Closet for only $7.99 and instantly fell in love. I know I will be wearing it throughout fall and into winter to brighten up my more neutral wardrobe, and again in the spring probably paired with bright yellow or coral.

What are some of your favourite back to school must-haves? Thoughts, comments, and ideas are welcome!

xx, Ciera
