Black and white is fashion’s most basic and classic pair. I’m always looking for ways to wear and style black and white pieces since my part time jobs usually require me to dress in mostly these colors. Plus, I feel like black and white ensembles have become my go-to if I can’t figure out what to wear. You’re pretty much guaranteed to look chic!
When I saw this “Paint It Black and White” dress at TrèsCool, I knew I had to have it! It’s seriously the perfect piece to take from day to night that you can also wear from work to weekend. It does run a little big, so I would suggest sizing down (I ordered a size S but had to hem it up a few inches). I love making black and white a little more fun and interesting with fun patterns – like with this cool painted effect! The back of the dress also has a flirty triangular cutout which in my opinion is always a good idea.
Another one of my favorite ways to spice up an all black and white look is with a pop of color on the lips and accessories, which is exactly what I did with my NYX lipstick and maroon bucket bag. I paired this look with my favorite lace up Steve Madden heels and threw on my Zara moto jacket to add some edge. It just so happened that when Gabi and I were exploring downtown Orange we found this adorable Parisian cafè that made this outfit complete.
Now let me give you a little bit more info on TrèsCool: it’s a chic online boutique that carries the best up-to-date styles at reasonable prices. It is run by two sisters, Red and Blonde, a pair of besties and fashion lovers. To keep it more personalized, they do not re-stock any sold out item but are constantly filling up with new merchandise. They have a great selection of dresses, work attire, boho looks, and more!
