The thing about Southern California is that it can be raining one minute, then 70 degrees and sunny the next. Supposedly we’re supposed to be in a crazy El Niño season, but so far we’ve only seen a few short periods of heavy rains. However, I like to be proactive and prepare for the rainy days early with a cute and practical pair of rain boots I found thanks to Fashion Junkee.
I’ve been wanting a pair of rain boots for years but I hadn’t been able to decide on a pair. I started off by looking into Hunter boots, but considering it rarely ever rains here, the higher price didn’t seem like a good investment to me. These rain boots from Fashion Junkee are the perfect height, price and design – I especially appreciate the quilted detail at the top that gives them a classic riding boot feel. This pair is usually $38 but if you add in my 20% off coupon “XOWWS” you can snag these boots for only $30! You seriously can’t pass up this deal (and if black is too basic for your taste, they also have red and leopard boots to choose from!)
I styled these boots with other classic pieces to showcase my go to rainy day style: black jeans, white tee, utility jacket, black tote, and a blanket scarf [outfit details found below.] This combo is so easy to throw on no matter where you’re going. I usually love to stay home all day when it rains, but now when it starts pouring again I’ll be ready to go out and show off my cute new boots!
