Happy Tuesday everyone! I have some more fall transitioning inspo for you guys today… Last week I shared my raspberry + leopard mix along with the perfect denim jeggings. But what about those days when it’s just too hot for jeans? (we’ve been having quite a few lately in the OC!)
The solution: a striped dress paired with a lightweight cargo jacket! This is one of my favorite color combos for fall. Often times I find myself only wearing all black in the fall and winter seasons, so olive is a great way to add in some more color. Btw, here’s the scoop on this jacket: it was on my back to school shopping wishlist and once I tried it on I knew I had to take it home with me! I’ve been searching for a lightweight jacket that wasn’t too long, too heavy, or a harsh army green color. This one from H&M is seriously the answer to everything on my checklist! You can wear it multiple ways: buttoned up to 3/4 length sleeves, long and unrolled, or wrapped around your waist. At for only $40, it’s a great investment piece that will last you for seasons to come!
Recently I’ve started adding more stripes into my closet – black & white is my favorite because it’s simple and matches everything. Stripes are a year long staple that you can easily mix + match with other colors and prints too!
For accessories, I went classic with this black fedora, designer inspired crossbody, and finally my go-to black booties I scored on sale at Steve Madden last spring. I can’t wait to finally start wearing these around more often! Gabi and I spotted this brick wall in Laguna that totally went with the vibe of my outfit. All I need now is a pumpkin spice latte and I’m seriously fall-ready! 😉
Transitioning Tip: If your legs get cold, put on some black tights and add an extra layer of warmth on top with a cardigan or button up underneath your jacket!
