To celebrate my dad’s 50th birthday my family and I went on a five day vacation to Yosemite together. My mom found a quaint little cabin rental called “The Treehouse” that was located in Fish Camp, right outside of Yosemite National Park. It was the perfect central location for us and all the activities we had planned.
View of the main bedroom.
View of the living room (the pull out couch was surprisingly comfortable!)
View from the balcony!
We arrived in Yosemite later in the afternoon, but we still got a chance to hike up to see the Giant Sequoia trees. I could not believe how humongous they were! We stopped by the visitor center before and the lady there told us to be sure to feel the sequoias- apparently many of them have been burned by fires on the inside, so when you touch them they feel like a sponge!

Finally, we finished off the day with an amazing Mexican dinner down at Bass Lake (of course I had to get a piña colada). It was the perfect end to a fun day! Stay tuned for more adventures from my Yosemite trip later this week
