Three words: raspberry infused buns. That’s what GD Bro has become famous for, along with many other deliciously innovative creations. On Thursday afternoon, Kimberly from Belle En Rouge and I got a chance to finally check them out at their new location in Signal Hill.
GD Bro actually started as a food truck and you might have even seen them on the Food Network’s “The Great Food Truck Race” Season 6. They opened their first location in Santa Ana in 2015 and have continued to grow from an organic social media frenzy and increasing lines of hungry guests. You can learn more about their story here and follow along on Instagram for Chef Specials and secret menu items.
At the tasting, we were a little overwhelmed with all the yummy options on the menu. At this time they don’t have any veggie patties, but since I’m a vegetarian I got a chance to order a custom off-menu creation: a grilled cheese filled with avocado and mozzarella sticks. And yes, it tasted as heavenly as it sounds! Kimberly decided to go with the All-American and KBBQ fries. Of course, we had to take a few pictures of our beautiful meals before we could dig in…
The grand opening GD Bro’s Signal Hill location is happening today 2/6 from noon to 10 PM. Make sure to arrive early because the first 50 customers will receive a free gift! Here’s the address if you’d like to check it out: 1798 E. Willow St. Signal Hill, CA 90755.
Have you tried GD Bro yet? Which item is your favorite? I’m dying to try their cheesy tater tots and Captain Crunch milkshake next! I also plan to start taking a lot more foodie adventures around the OC and LA, so stay tuned 😉
