With the recent 90 to 100+ degree temps, trying to find fall in the OC can be pretty tough. But we all still want to celebrate the changing of seasons, and today I’m going to give you some ideas that can have you feeling more like fall even if the weather doesn’t agree! I’ve teamed up with Eventbrite to show you a few of my favorite ways to celebrate the autumn season around Orange County. Check out all these fun fall activities that are right in our backyard or check out Eventbrite’s event management software to plan your own event!
1) The Pumpkin Patch
Location: 5380 University Dr, Irvine 92612
Every year I always make it my priority to visit a local pumpkin patch. There are tons of patches nearby, but Tanaka Farms is one of my favorites because its complete with a free corn maze, U-Pick Vegetable patch, wagon rides, and a petting zoo!
2) Halloween Time at Disneyland
Location: 1313 Disneyland Dr, Anaheim 92802
Disneyland is all time my favorite way to celebrate the fall and holiday season! From now until November 1st, you can celebrate with Mickey and friends throughout both parks with Mickey’s Halloween Party, Ghost Galaxy on Space Mountain, the Nightmare Before Christmas, and an ongoing list of spooky fall treats including bat cookies, spiced cake, and pumpkin beignets. Of course, if you’re in the mood for something even scarier Knott’s Scary Farm and Dark Harbor are close nearby!
Location: 7561 Center Ave, Huntington Beach 92647
Oktoberfest isn’t only in Germany anymore! Right down the street of the beach and across from Bella Terra you’ll find Old World, a small little town in itself and this fun celebration all month long. Click here
for more ticket information.
4) Pumpkin Spice Cupcakes
Location: 16479 Bolsa Chica Street Huntington Beach 92649
Bubba Sweets is my favorite spot to get seasonally flavored sweets. The pumpkin spice ones are my favorite and there’s conveniently a Starbucks right next door for an accompanying PSL 😉
5) Ice Skating
Location: 670 Spectrum Center Drive, Irvine 92618
Two great things about ice skating: 1) it gets you in the holiday spirit and 2) you get an opportunity to cool down and escape the heat! Every year at Irvine Spectrum you can skate amongst the palms at the OC Chill Ice Skating Rink. The rink is located in the Giant Wheel Court between Nordstrom and Macy’s. Children and adults are $19 including skate rental or $15 if you bring your own skates.
Okay, it’s your turn! My OC friends, what are your favorite ways to celebrate fall around the beach cities?
