Can you believe it’s already the first week of April?! It seems like just yesterday I was styling rompers for the fall, but now spring is officially in full swing… and I’m still wearing rompers (in So Cal, you can seriously get away with wearing them even during the winter!) Since you already have my best fall styling tips, I thought it was only fair that I take take a similar inspired off the shoulder look and style it for the spring season also.
I purchased this striped OTS romper from Romwe a few months ago, but sadly it got lost in the back of my closet. While doing some spring cleaning, I rediscovered it and decided it was finally time to wear it out! Luckily it’s still available online and is currently on sale for $13 – seriously, how could you pass up such a steal? Now, on to my top three styling tips for wearing rompers in the spring…
1. Pop of Color
Black and white is my go-to year round, but I also love to experiment with color. What’s really fun about spring is being able to add different pops of color to your outfits and style! One of my favorite ways to do this through my makeup and nail polish – which is why I went with a bright pink lip and magenta nails to really stand out.
2. Add Classic Booties
Similar to my fall look, I decided to pair this romper with booties! Instead of a neutral taupe bootie, I opted for my favorite gold zippered Steve Maddens to keep it fresh for spring.
3. Layer with Leather
You know what they say: if all else fails, add a moto jacket (well, that’s my motto at least!) This faux leather motorcycle jacket from Zara is a closet staple that I wear all the time, but especially in the spring. On the cooler days I know I can just throw it over my shoulders and instantly add a touch of chic and cool to any outfit.
