Lace ups are still one of the hottest trends happening right now, and I seriously can’t get enough! It all started with lace up flats, but now the detail can be found in tops, dresses, skirts, sandals and more. When Romwe reached out about collaborating, I was excited because I have purchased from them on my own before and have gotten some really fun pieces (like this romper, this cape dress, and don’t forget about this lace up top!)
I knew that I wanted a trendy dress that I could dress up or down depending on the styling.
This lace up dress is under $15 and has such a fun back detail that I decided to show it off by wearing my hair up. It’s really lightweight and perfect to withstand the summer heat.
But be warned: this dress is a little bit see through, so you will need a slip or nude undergarments. Also, with the lace up detail in the back you can’t really wear a normal bra without it showing – I recommend wearing a bandeau or stickies.
One of my all time favorite combos is blue and white with a pop of leopard.
I originally wanted to pair it with red lipstick but of course I couldn’t find it until AFTER the shoot Nevertheless, I still think the look is cute either way depending on where you are going. I decided to wear my favorite printed lace up flats for just the right amount of lace up without going overboard.
Now I can’t go on without talking a little bit about this foldover leopard clutch from Fashion Junkee. I’ve had my eye on the Clare Vivier for months but couldn’t afford the price tag. This one is a great look-a-like option for way less: only $45 compared to $275? Yes please!
