Happy Wednesday! I hope that you’re not getting tired of my vacation posts just yet… because I still have a few more to share 😛 Today I wanted to share some more vacation photos from one place we probably spent the most time at: the pool!
Everyone loves a good pool party.
But you’re not doing it right if you don’t have pool floaties! It is safe to say that this is the summer (or year, if you live in California) of pool floats. You can pretty much find a floatie for every food and species imaginable: pretzels, donuts, swans, unicorns… you name it. My sister and I ended up choosing two of our favorite things – a pineapple and flamingo – to bring along with us on our tropical vacay to Cancún.
The Westin pool was the absolute perfect location for a pool party. A water slide, poolside bar, and gorgeous view of the ocean – can you say paradise? I was surprised that every day we hit the pool it was pretty lowkey and not too crowded, but I definitely didn’t complain! We basically spent all of our off days relaxing in the water with our tropical floaties. Obviously, I had to get a piña colada to go in my pineapple drink floatie 😉 PS – If you do happen to bring floats on vacation, let me give you a friendly reminder to a bring an air pump (can you guess what we left at home?)

The party isn’t complete without Little Bit Cali swimsuits!
Before my vacation, I was searching for some new swimsuits to bring along on my trip. Luckily, during a fashion fair at my community college I discovered a local company called Little Bit Cali that was exactly what I was looking for. The owner and designer, Danielle, is such a sweetheart and actually hand sews all the bikinis at her studio in Long Beach! Her intricate and criss-crossed designs are so unique and fun for any vacation or pool party. Something I really appreciate is how Danielle strives to keep the price point low for her customers. Many similar suits retail for more than double, but each piece sells for only $35!
Danielle is also able to do custom suits upon request. LBC bottoms are normally Brazilian cut, but since I prefer a little more coverage, she added an extra inch of fabric to both of my bottoms. Contact her HERE if you have any questions on custom orders.
