Finally I get a chance to talk about one of my favorite activities- shopping! Strolling through downtown Nassau is a tourist must, which will look especially familiar if you’ve ever seen The Other Woman or Holiday in the Sun (which if you have not yet, you must watch ASAP! It’s a Mary Kate and Ashley classic that I channel every time I visit Atlantis.) We took a cab across the bridge to hit the straw market and local shops right next the harbor. First we visited Del Sol and found the coolest color changing nail polish, then headed over to Tortuga for rum cake and free samples, and finally Starbucks to beat the heat. I borrowed my sister’s mango passionfruit smoothie since it totally matched the colorful walls of this Bahamian building! 😛
Crop tops + cutoffs are usually my go-to when on vacation because it’s a cute and simple look that you can pull off in warmer weather. I found this vintage crotchet halter top at a thrift store in OC and liked that the color combo was a little different than most basic halters. Also, I don’t know if you’ve noticed but these Forever 21 high-waisted shorts have been on major repeat this summer (see here and here.) Walking around outside in the tropical humidity had us all starting to sweat, but I made the best of it and grabbed my cateye sunnies, tied up my hair, and worked on my tan!
What I’m Wearing // Vintage Roxy halter top, Forever 21 shorts, white Converse, zeroUV sunnies, Forever 21 crossbody
