Hello, Monday! I’m especially excited about today because it marks Day 1 of the Style Collective Spring Style Challenge (find out more about the themes and daily prizes here.) Today it’s all about Pantone Colors and I’m talking about the first ever dual colors of the year: Rose Quartz and Serenity. Both of these shades have been showing up everywhere, from apparel and accessories to interior design. However, have you had the opportunity to style them in your own outfits yet? I’m breaking it down and giving you three simple ways that you can incorporate them into your wardrobe this year!
1. Classic Pieces
My first piece of advice is to choose pieces and styles that you will still love next year. My light wash destroyed skinnies, chunky sweater, and blush pumps are classics shapes and styles that you probably already have in your wardrobe, and can also easily be mixed and matched to create other classic outfits.
The easiest way to include the Pantone colors in an outfit is through accessories. Rose Quartz is a great neutral color, so I suggest investing in pieces you can get more wear out of like a good bag or pair of heels. Jewelry is the another opportunity to showcase the colors, which I did through a sparkly statement necklace.
3. Makeup + Nails
If you’re hesitant to use the colors through apparel or accessories, an alternative way to incorporate them is through beauty products. This way you can try out the trends, without being too committed or spending too much on them. I found the perfect shade of rosy pink lip gloss from NYX and color blocked two Essie shades to bring my look together.
