Travel Diary: Phoenix, AZ

Phoenix Arizona Fujifilm Polaroid Travel Diary Pictures

Happy Fri-yay! If you follow me on insta you know I just got back from a weekend in Phoenix, Arizona. My sister Cailyn had a volleyball tournament there so I decided to take advantage of the tanning weather and road trip it with the fam! I brought along my Fujifilm polaroid camera and my trusty iPhone to capture these photos for this travel diary. How cute are these little polaroids? I haven’t had many opportunities to use my Polaroid since film is so expensive, but I definitely want to start capturing more memories with it!

Her tournament was at the Convention Center, so it was walkable from our hotel at the Westin downtown. Look at these gorgeous shots I got from outside the hotel and from our room!

Like I mentioned in my previous post, Phoenix was extremely HOT. It was about 110 degrees outside, so most of my days were spent inside the hotel enjoying the AC or relaxing in the pool. Since downtown is mostly business and not exactly a vacation destination, the pool was pretty small but it had an amazing view of the skyscrapers. Plus, I had boxed water + watermelon right by side… what else could a girl ask for?

On the last morning, we finally got to do some real exploring downtown. This mosiac mural outside the convention center was one of my favorite spots we discovered. We continued walking up and down the streets searching for places to shoot, and luckily found an alley of street art covering the buildings and walls. We even found a huge piece of pizza! 😀 Even though we were sweating like crazy, it was so fun to be able to shoot in these artistic areas.

Just some more random shots and my favorite fringe moments I captured!

Even though I almost died of heat stroke, I have to say my first time in Phoenix was a pretty awesome trip. Okay, I’m calling out my Arizona natives reading this! What’s your favorite thing to do in Phoenix?

If I would have known you were going to Phoenix, I would have recommended a few spots. Never lived there, but visited a lot. Next time, eat at Pizzeria Bianco (just check their hours). If you have a bigger budget and like interesting food, try Nobu at Teater House!
